Read moreOur Soccer Stars holiday camps are currently unavailable, although we hope to be up and running again very soon.
In the meantime, why not check out our fabulous Gym Stars holiday camp, which has spaces available for this October half term 2020.
Our October half term holiday camp places are available to book now. Due to the ongoing restrictions and government guidance, we are currently allowing full week bookings only. We will be running four ‘bubble’ groups (max. 15 children in each bubble), with an assigned coach for each group.
These bubble groups will have staggered arrival and collection times (plus their own toilet and break areas) in different parts of the building and will not mix at any point during the day.
Bubble Groups
BUBBLE 1: Reception – Year 2, Lane End pupils only – 8:45am – 2:45pm
BUBBLE 2: Years 3 & 4, Lane End Pupils only – 9:00am – 3:00pm
BUBBLE 3: Years 5 & 6, Lane End pupils only – 8:45am – 2:45pm
BUBBLE 4: Reception – Year 6, non Lane End pupils – 9:00am – 3:00pm
Prior to the holiday camp starting, you will be sent information regarding your child’s bubble group, plus our risk assessment detailing the measures we will be implementing to protect your child and our staff. All bookings must be pre-booked and paid for in advance (cash bookings are accepted on the day in a sealed envelope). We accept childcare vouchers on all of our courses.
Our Soccer Stars holiday camps are for the girls and boys who eat, sleep, and breathe football. We cater for children who are relatively new to football as well as club-players.
Our holiday camps run every weekday throughout the school holidays and children are welcome to join us for any period, from a half-day session to the entire holiday.
Upon arrival the children start the day with fun warm-up games. Once everyone has arrived, the children are split into groups depending on their age and ability, and the sessions will be delivered to reflect those different groups.
During the morning the coach will focus on delivering sessions designed to improve football technique and skills through drills and small-sided matches. During the afternoon sessions the children will participate in fun games, tournaments, penalty shoot-outs, and different challenges.
The day is set up like a school day, with a mid-morning and mid-afternoon break and lunch. We ask you to provide a packed lunch, preferably a healthy one! We donβt allow fizzy or energy drinks, however staff will happily re-fill water bottles. We aim to deliver most of the sessions outdoors, depending on the weather, so we ask that you provide suitable clothing, sun cream, and a hat, as required.
On the last day of each week, the children take part in our ‘World Cup Tournament’ and a ‘Penalty Shoot Out’, where they will showcase the football skills they have learnt and compete against each other.
On Fridays everyone will receive a certificate to recognise their achievements, and those who have shown outstanding sporting ability and fair play will receive their own ‘Player of the Week’ trophy and ‘Penalty Winner’ trophy.
Experienced F.A. qualified football coaches, who work in primary schools on a regular basis, lead all of our sessions. The sessions are specifically designed to create an environment for the children to thrive and develop at their own pace, and above all else, have fun!
Please visit our Meet The Team page to learn more about our fantastic football coaches.
